Lets face it, nobody likes to wait weeks to hear back after sending in an application. At Data Processors, If you are successful at securing a first interview we’ll get back to you within 72 hours.

How we select

We use a range of assessment tools to fit the right person into the role we’re offering. Our HR Team takes the responsibility of the early stages of the interview process.

Begin

On your first day we’ll do our best to introduce and assist you in your transition into the company. Your Manager will welcome you to members of your new team.

We have some pretty inspiring people in our company, including award winning developers and researchers, and we look for similar qualities in our applicants. That means we look for proven high achievers with strong drive and determination and who are self-motivators and motivating to others. We seek people who focus on outcomes and have a desire to learn more effective and efficient ways of working. We’re after people who are quick to refocus on the important issues. We expect applicants to have outstanding communication skills, accomplished interpersonal skills and exemplary verbal and written presentation skills.

The experience you need depends greatly on the role but we do keep an eye out for graduates with amazing potential. We’re really interested in any of your personal or other non-proprietary experience too.

We ask that all applicants preferably reside already within Australia or hold permanent residency and/or a visa giving them the right to work unrestricted and indefinitely in Australia. For some roles, we may consider international candidates that are willing to relocate to Australia on a permanent basis, at the discretion of the recruiting managers.

How We Interview

Let’s face it, nobody likes to wait weeks to hear back after sending in an application. At Data Processors, if you are successful at securing a first interview we’ll get back to you within 72 hours on receipt of your application. We’ll do our best to get back to all other applicants in that time too.

The interview process greatly depends on the role you are applying for. Phone and on-site interviews with HR and the team manager are pretty standard for all roles at the company. Some tech roles might require online or on-site technical tests and perhaps even offer an opportunity for you to showcase some of your own work, too.

How We Select

We use a range of assessment tools to fit the right person into the role we’re offering.

Our HR team takes the responsibility of the early stages of the interview process. To progress further, you’ve made a good first impression and your interest in the role is clear. Your engagement in the interviewing process will have been appreciable. The skills you’ve gained and your ability to work in a team would be evident in your past experience.

Towards the latter stages of the interview process, it’s the responsibility of team managers to select the applicant. They’ll see that you can solve the complex technical and non-technical problems and that you can think, interpret and analyse in the way that the role requires. They’ll see you’re a good fit for the company and the team you’ll be part of.

How You Begin

On your first day we’ll do our best to introduce and assist you in your transition into the company. Your manager will welcome you to members of your new team. A morning tea or lunch will be organised so you can get to know your team members in a more casual setting. Throughout the day, your manager will spend time with you to guide you and answer your questions.

After a week, we’ll check back with you, answer any questions you have and offer you an opportunity to provide feedback on your induction. We’re always looking for ways to improve our induction process to make it more relevant, more engaging and above all, more helpful!

Throughout your probation,  your manager will liaise with you regularly to give support, guidance and feedback. We aim to use this time to assess your development in an open and accountable way.
